AllYouNeedIsLovie 377 Posted September 27, 2012 (edited) It's being reported everywhere. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8429885/nfl-reaches-agreement-officials-end-lockout The NFL and the NFL Referees Association reached an agreement late Wednesday night to end the referee lockout, the league confirmed. The two sides are looking at text and expect to sign the deal by Thursday morning, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. There will be a regular referee union crew in Baltimore for Thursday night's Ravens-Browns game, according to a league source. NFL Network, citing a league source, reported the two sides agreed to a new developmental program, rather than adding 21 officials to the current pool of 121 NFLRA officials. The pool of money for the current officials, according to the report, will remain the same. Edited September 27, 2012 by Favre4Ever
blotsfan 2,112 Posted September 27, 2012 I can't wait for the announcers to talk about how these refs don't deserve their jobs after every bad call.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted September 27, 2012 Joint Statement from NFL and NFLRA The NFL and NFLRA are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement tonight on an eight-year collective bargaining agreement, subject to ratification by the NFLRA. “Our officials will be back on the field starting tomorrow night,” Commissioner Roger Goodell said. “We appreciate the commitment of the NFLRA in working through the issues to reach this important agreement.” “Our Board of Directors has unanimously approved taking this proposed CBA to the membership for a ratification vote,” said Scott Green, president of the NFLRA. “We are glad to be getting back on the field for this week’s games.”

Packers Dynasty 2010 116 Posted September 27, 2012 (edited) So 2 days after a very controversial call they reach a 8 year agreement, yet Goodell and the NFL insisted the replacement refs made the correct call Anyways, glad to have them back. They aren't perfect but they will be a lot better than these replacement refs. Edited September 27, 2012 by Packers Dynasty 2010

oochymp 2,393 Posted September 27, 2012 inb4 refs make a mistake and people act like they're just as bad as replacements. I'm guessing they get about two weeks before people really start bitching about the refs again
blotsfan 2,112 Posted September 27, 2012 I'm just going to hold them up to the same standards as the replacement refs, which was "for every mistake, you're 100% incompetent at your job."
Shotgun 442 Posted September 27, 2012 (edited) I'm just going to hold them up to the same standards as the replacement refs, which was "for every mistake, you're 100% incompetent at your job." You're right. It got tiring complaining after every single down. It's time to get back to complaining over how 2 missed holding calls and a questionable DPI cost us the game. Fucking refs. And all was right with the world. Edited September 27, 2012 by Shotgun
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted September 27, 2012 The real refs fucked up a lot too, but that is because it is humanly impossible to get every call right. These replacement refs just don't know what the hell they are doing. I stuck up for them in preseason, but it just got worse every week.
