Mathias 394 Posted March 28, 2014 Give him 5 years and be done with it. Dude is a colossal piece of shit and should never play another down in the NFL. 1

BLUE 1,026 Posted June 17, 2014 Per Rotoworld.com: The New York Post's Bart Hubbuch "keep(s) hearing" Ray Rice's suspension could span 4-6 games in connection with his offseason assault charge, or "maybe even more." Hubbuch is hearing the discipline will be "significant." The NFL has received negative press for strict suspensions levied against pot smokers, while crimes viewed as more sinister like assaulting women get lesser discipline. Commissioner Roger Goodell could use Rice as an example to show the NFL will take hitting women more seriously. A 4-6 game suspension would swing the door wide open for Bernard Pierce, or Justin Forsett, or Lorenzo Taliaffero to run with the feature back job in new OC Gary Kubiak's running back-friendly offense. BwareDWare94 723 Posted June 17, 2014 Possible big suspension for Ray Rice. Still no word on Aldon Smith being suspended for his antics. The fuck is going on here?

The NFL is dealing with Ray Rice before Aldon Smith? Seems like a pretty stupid question, there, BWare.
BwareDWare94 723 Posted June 19, 2014 The NFL is dealing with Ray Rice before Aldon Smith? Seems like a pretty stupid question, there, BWare. I'm not saying one should be prioritized over the other. I just want to know why Smith's shit seems to just disappear. Unless he's got some severe personality disorder that he just can't control 24/7, I want to see some punishment. Cherry 1,302 Posted September 8, 2014 Great. Sling some more insults around. It'll really prove your case. Would you rather him leave her unconscious body in the elevator? You weren't in the elevator. You have no right to judge Rice when you don't know what happened. In response to the latest videos emerging of Ray Rice assaulting his fiancée. I was incorrect. Rice started and escalated the conflict. He deserves a suspension for at least the year, if not a lifetime ban. Before; we did not know what happened in the elevator. Now we know, and we can safely say that Rice is a criminal and should be treated as such. He should serve jail time and be removed from all NFL activities until he is done with that time. Punishment should be swift and strong-handed.
blotsfan 2,112 Posted September 8, 2014 Ok, this might be dumb of me, but what is in this video that's different than what we already knew? (Can't watch a video now)
oochymp 2,393 Posted September 8, 2014 Ok, this might be dumb of me, but what is in this video that's different than what we already knew? (Can't watch a video now) it really just clears up the speculation, there were a lot of things that could have happened in that elevator (was Rice acting in self defense? did his girlfriend slip and fall? faint? etc.) I think what the video revealed is that what actually happened was about the worst of the speculation, Rice threw the first punch and didn't hesitate to throw a second, which is the one that knocked her out
Dutch 874 Posted September 8, 2014 http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/tmz-releases-footage-of-ray-rice-punching-wife-124132772.html Rice is a straight coward and seriously wouldn't care if he never played a down in the NFL again.
seanbrock 1,684 Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) Pretty alarming that our commish only gave him two games after seeing this. That might be worse than Ray Rice committing the crime to be honest. It doesn't really change what we already knew though. We knew he had to cold cocked her. She was obviously knocked out in the footage that was released originally. We all knew that the suspension was joke to begin with. He's pretty done as a football player though. He's not really very effective anymore. He probably won't be in the league much longer. oochymp 2,393 Posted September 8, 2014 Rice also suspended indefinitely, this makes the league look incredibly weak to be so reactionary on the issue
Cherry 1,302 Posted September 8, 2014 It is pitiful that the league saw this tape (We all know they did) but refused to act correctly until TMZ made it public. What a shitshow.

Truth, even if the league didn't see this tape you cannot convince me that they couldn't have gotten it months ago if they'd wanted to, if I were involved in any way with the NFLPA I would be up in arms over the way this was handled, though I would probably try to do anything I could behind closed doors because it is a difficult suspension to argue with
Bucman 891 Posted September 8, 2014 Lolnfl. They had to of seen this video before. As much as I agree with the terms. It's pretty weak to suspend him twice for the same thing. Nfl was out for blood in his case.

Bucman 891 Posted September 8, 2014 if the NFL was out for blood they wouldn't have had to suspend him twice, the public was out for blood and the NFL finally realized they had to comply They suspended him twice because this video went public. They have been out for his blood since all the negative backlash they got for the light suspension he originally got. Like Cherry said, the league is lying, they've seen this video before. Vin+ 3,121 Posted September 8, 2014 The NFL isn't stupid though. If they had seen the video before its release, they would've known just how bad it was going to look (Though I think she would've been fine had she not hit her head on the railing, that's not really here nor there though.). Honestly, the NFL going all double jeopardy on him and suspending him again makes them look worse in my eyes. Heaven forbid they should make a decision and actually stick to it. Also, that hotel or casino needs better elevator cams.

Also, that hotel or casino needs better elevator cams. They never let the spy gate footage leak. Even if they didn't see it they all see what we saw at the very least and if you knew that footage was out there you had to know that it was going to be ugly. The girl's totally unconscious when moments before she walked into the elevator perfectly fine. No stumbling or staggering. They didn't even really look like they were arguing then all of the sudden he flops her unconscious body out of the elevator. It was clear to anyone exactly what happened in that elevator except for apparently the NFL. Poor excuse and Peter King said there were people in the league who had seen it so I highly doubt that they hadn't seen in the first place.
