BradyFan81 404 Posted November 16, 2015 Time for Sean Peyton to go as well. He's always been an offensive guy and it's never hurt him this much, but now it is just disgusting. He obviously doesn't do anything to prepare for these games defensively and just makes his coordinators and coaches do everything. This is 100% on the coaching staff, there's no way that the Saints are that much less talented than every other defense in terms of personnel.
BwareDWare94 723 Posted November 16, 2015 One of the many mysteries of the NFL. He should probably be a positional coach.

oochymp 2,393 Posted November 16, 2015 Saints are firing defensive coordinator Rob Ryan | FOX Sports Another New Orleans defensive debacle has spelled the end of Rob Ryan's days as the unit's coordinator. Multiple sources told FOXSports.com that Ryan is being removed from the position following Sunday's 47-14 loss at Washington. full article has stats from yesterday and the season and mentions that Dennis Allen, Saints Senior Defensive Assistant, is his likely replacement
Eefluxx 113 Posted November 16, 2015 If Dennis Allen is taking over the defensive playcalling it means we will still suck so no bigge there. But something does have to be done overall defensivly. We have some young talent on the defense and some veteran FA's who aren't worth the money they are being paid. There are also several rumors of Payton being gone after the season as well. *roasts marshmellows on the dumpster fire of my team*
Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 16, 2015 So not a firing. Yet. Saints coach Sean Payton said DC Rob Ryan has not been fired. Payton said any reports on Ryan's future are just speculation, and he has not met with Ryan or GM Mickey Loomis at this point. Payton did say the team will not continue on the same course. The likely outcome is still Ryan losing his job, but the official announcement may not come until later in the week. New Orleans is on pace to give up the most passing touchdowns in league history. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted November 16, 2015 Saints, get your act together please. I can't be editing these titles all the time. Lol Saints defense is the first in history to allow opponents to throw for 4 TDs and 0 INTs in three consecutive games.
Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 17, 2015 Now you can edit it. Saints fired DC Rob Ryan. Again. It was reported earlier Monday that Ryan had been fired, but coach Sean Payton denied it and said he'd yet to talk to anyone in the organization about Ryan. That chat must have happened this afternoon, and the team decided to pull the plug on Rex Ryan's twin brother. The Saints are dead last in yards allowed through 10 weeks. Ryan will likely get another shot elsewhere, but his coordinator day are probably over after multiple failed defenses over the years. Vin+ 3,121 Posted February 3, 2016 Saints retained Dennis Allen as defensive coordinator. This was a formality after Allen somewhat stabilized the Saints' nightmarishly bad defense down the stretch. He took over for Rob Ryan in mid-November. Allen has long been regarded as a bright football mind, but bombed out with the Raiders and will be dealing with major talent deficiencies in New Orleans. His lowest total was 297 yards against the Bucs. Gave up 400+ (one of which was almost 500 yards) three times and 300+ (one of which was almost 400) another two. , Rotoworld. Thanatos 2,847 Posted February 3, 2016 Yeah but, considering how bad the Saints defense was, that actually IS an improvement.
