butta54 371 Posted April 3, 2018 With the 60th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select.... Jerome Baker, LB, The Ohio State On the surface this looks like a Ryan Shazier replacement, and while Baker has a lot of the same positives (athletic ability/toughness) and negatives (tackling/play recognition) as Shazier...the one trait that is being severely overlooked is his coverage ability. Baker functioned as almost a safety hybrid at Ohio State...assuming nickel coverage responsibilities on 3rd down. While most LBs are covering RBs out of the backfield, Baker was covering slot receivers in man coverage. Bringing in the sideline to sideline gifts that Shazier had, while also adding some supreme 3rd down coverage ability makes Baker the natural selection to re-engage the 2nd level of the Steeler Defense.

butta54 371 Posted April 7, 2018 With the 76th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select... Anthony Miller, WR, Memphis If you don't know him...you better get to know him. One game and it will be hard not to see the next AB. Tremendous ability, but also tremendous heart as he went from a walk-on to arguably the best receiver in this draft in my opinion. Going to an offense with Drew Brees just might make that AB comparison shine a little quicker than most expect. Saints have one reliable target, but with an all-in approach for Brees last hoo-rah we are going to need some more weapons on the perimeter to balance the ones in the backfield. Miller immediately adds a #2 presence that will eat defenses up that leave him one on one.
