RazorStar 4,025 Posted September 1, 2018 The Raiders have traded Khalil Mack to the Bears for two first rounders and some additional surplus. What the exact trade details are, we're still waiting to see, but this is a huge move for the Bears and gives their defense that much needed pass rusher to put em over the edge. They do have the burden of getting Mack a new contract as well, but with the Aaron Donald deal in place, there's a baseline to work with. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000957557/article/bears-expected-to-acquire-khalil-mack-from-raiders
seanbrock 1,684 Posted September 1, 2018 This was a huge move stealing Mack from the Pack. A pass rusher is what the Bears needed on defense to take them to the next level. The Bears are going to the playoffs this year.

Green Bay and Minnesota have something to say about that, and Minnesota STILL has the better defense and a much better offense. If Trubiske is good, however, the Bears will be lights out at Soldier Field. The NFC North is going to be a slaughterhouse for other divisions
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted September 2, 2018 One of the 15 best players in football moves from the AFC to the NFC. As if the conferences weren't too out of whack already...
RazorStar 4,025 Posted September 2, 2018 The deets of the trade were: Raiders receive: 1st rounder (2019) 1st rounder (2020) 3rd rounder (2020) 6th rounder (2019) Bears receive: Khalil Mack 2nd rounder (2020) Conditional 5th rounder (2020)
Bucman 891 Posted September 2, 2018 Raiders got wrecked. No idea why they'd include a 2nd rounder too, one thats likely to be basically a first rounder.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted September 2, 2018 The Raiders don’t know know how to use draft picks... Trade a 3rd for the white tiger and cut him months later. Send a 5th for AJ McCarron , send a bunch of picks to the team taking your best player. After a brief moment that’s made it seem like they were on the upswing ... they are back to being inept
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted September 2, 2018 I guess it depends on how the Raiders draft with those picks, but considering they just traded their best draft pick in the last decade plus, I don't like their odds of succeeding from this trade. Looks like Ryan Pace fleeced the Raiders.
Packers Dynasty 2010 116 Posted September 3, 2018 (edited) Guess Green Bay did offer 2 1sts but that's it and Oakland saw the Bears' picks being worth more. Gute is definitely being active, will be interesting to see what he does next offseason with quite a bit of cap space and those picks. ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted September 6, 2018 It's taken me a couple days to get over the amount of stupidity behind this. Gruden is taking this team to 3-13.
