Minny 33 Posted May 29, 2013 If coaches are allowed: Vince Lombardi Ray Nitschke Bart Starr Brett Favre With Aaron Rodgers replacing Lombardi if coaches are not allowed or possibly Starr if he stays at the pace he is going. I'm guessing you left Don Hutson off the list due to when he played? I would argue he's the greatest Packer ever(and NFL Network agrees).
Packers Dynasty 2010 116 Posted May 29, 2013 (edited) I'm guessing you left Don Hutson off the list due to when he played? I would argue he's the greatest Packer ever(and NFL Network agrees). I considered Hutson and wanted to put him on here but I would consider the 5 guys I named fit the "face of the franchise" bill better than Hutson. oochymp 2,393 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) if this is tracking franchise history, including the Oilers: Earl Campbell Warren Moon Elvin Bethea Steve McNair (gotta have someone repping the Titans, and no player does that better IMO though I'd definitely listen to an argument for Matthews, Fisher would go instead if we're including coaches) Ken Houston barely misses out, largely because he spent more time with the Redskins than the Oilers (8 years compared to 6) I'd want the team's Rushmore full of players who are only identified with the franchise if we're just looking at Titans, I can't argue with Air's list Not counting players/coaches who only played/coached in Houston: Jeff Fisher Steve McNair Bruce Matthews Keith Bulluck If only players are allowed, Eddie would take Fisher's place. oochymp 2,393 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Been only been a fan of football for like... 7 Years... So I really don't know. lol. here's a good place to start: http://www.profootba.../hof/teams.aspx Sanders, Megatron, and Night Train are probably in, but I'm not sure who the fourth would be, probably LeBeau, though he's definitely better known for coaching the Steelers, maybe someone who knows the Lions a little better could help, but looking at that list either Bobby Layne or Doak Walker would be a solid fourth Edited May 30, 2013 by oochymp
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted May 30, 2013 No way... IDK much, but I do know from reading a ton of articles that the Lions have had some great players, especially DBs. Just not recently...

the Lions fan 19 Posted May 30, 2013 Barry Sanders (...) Jason Hanson (maybe I'm overappreciating him since he's gone, but I don't think so, if anyone did what he has for any team it'd be hard not to put them on their 'mt. Rushmore') Jack Christiansen (google him) And a space reserved for Megatron And because this was so difficult, alternates to ease my guilt. Alternates: Dick Lane, Lem Barney, Bobby Layne, Herman Moore, Kevin Glover, Dick Lebeau, Jim David, Joe Schmidt... A more standard, GOAT, QB, WR, Coach/Lifer/etc. List would be Barry, Layne, Moore and Hanson... so many great players and individuals to be a part of this organization. Good topic, thanks. Did you miss this on page 1 or disagree strongly? I felt it is a good list.
SolomonGrundy 10 Posted May 30, 2013 Ok Von Miller is a stud, but seriously ? You have guys like Steve Atwater, TD, Shannon Sharpe, and Rod Smith... It was close between him and Shannon Sharpe, but ultimately I think Miller will be one of the best ever.

You chose potential over an accomplished / established Hall of Famer that put in 12 seasons for your franchise and helped win a superbowl?
