AllYouNeedIsLovie 377 Posted July 7, 2013 http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-releases/2013/07/2013-jaws-qb-countdown/ He's only done the bottom 12, but when he starts revealing more of the list, I'm sure this can spark some good discussion as the off-season is finally almost coming to an end. Anyways, I think Freeman is a few spots too low. I'd put him probably around 18.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted July 7, 2013 Sanchez is four spots too high.
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted July 7, 2013 He did Cam Newton yesterday... Didn't he? Or is that not the same as this countdown...
Thanatos 2,847 Posted July 8, 2013 No, the countdown you're thinking of is the top-10 QBs under age 25, where he placed Cam 4th, I believe, and Luck #1, (lol).
seanbrock 1,684 Posted July 8, 2013 I think Matt Flynn will end up being higher on next years list but I can understand putting him where he is.
Bay 2,003 Posted July 8, 2013 (edited) Locker will be better. Or at least I hope (for he and the teams sake). Edited July 8, 2013 by Bay
BJORN 679 Posted July 8, 2013 Stafford over Rivers??? I don't believe.
KempBolt 498 Posted July 8, 2013 I think Rivers' ranking is fair given his performance last year. Hard to account for supporting cast when creating things like this. However, I do also think that he will outplay this ranking.
Mike975 12 Posted July 8, 2013 Sanchez is four spots too high. In a system when the emphasis is pass first, you are correct that Sanchez is ranked too highly and is a below average at best QB. But in a run heavy system with a toned down passing game the Jets went to consecutive AFC championships. So in the right system Sanchez can be serviceable, that is why he's ranked that high. Mike975 12 Posted July 8, 2013 As for the countdown it has been an interesting read. I think he's ranked Cam fairly, and as it stands he's thrown well for a qb with only one season of college starting experience. if he improves his accuracy, placement and decision making - it is scary how good this guy could become. RazorStar 4,025 Posted July 9, 2013 Flynn is stuck at the bottom by default, but Sanchez should be right beside him. Locker may suck, but he's not as bad, and Kolb is probably better than Henne/Gabbert. The order of 15 through 25 doesn't bug me that much, though I'd feel a lot better if Newton and Stafford swapped spots.
RANGA+ 1,210 Posted July 9, 2013 Don't understand how he can have Alex Smith so low. I'd take him over Rivers right now, no questions
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted July 9, 2013 A little surprised he had Stafford at 16, I figured he wasn't a fan of his. But Romo at 15 is too low.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted July 9, 2013 Also Luck is missing from the list and should be under Andy Dalton.

Luvnit2 1 Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) I think the list is fairly accurate. My man Dalton is around 19 or 20 so I see that as fair. I see this year being the Dalton break out year good or bad. I predict good because the 3rd year is when a lot of QB's show big improvement. Edited July 9, 2013 by Luvnit2
DavethePanther 37 Posted July 9, 2013 Also Luck is missing from the list and should be under Andy Dalton. But he had over 5 billion yards passing. Forget the interception ratio. They already have spot in the HOF for him. Just has to retire. RG Knee, Kaepernick, Wilson and Luck will all be top 10. Watch and see.
Mathias 394 Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) Romo at 15. LOL What a jackass. Also this quote on Romo that is absolutely unforgivable. You just can’t make mistakes, regardless of whose fault it is. LOL. Fucking jackass. Edited July 9, 2013 by Mathias
CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted July 9, 2013 Romo at 15. LOL What a jackass. Also this quote on Romo that is absolutely unforgivable. LOL. Fucking jackass. Romo's been the only reason the Cowboys have even sniffed the playoffs lately. ---------- Also... Chad Henne? Should of just left both Henne and Gabbert off and put Teddy Bridgewater at #32
Attyla the Hawk 197 Posted July 9, 2013 Romo's been the only reason the Cowboys have even sniffed the playoffs lately. I'd have to agree. Cowboys fans tend to really overstate the quality of their players.
AL_Royalty 489 Posted July 9, 2013 But he had over 5 billion yards passing. Forget the interception ratio. They already have spot in the HOF for him. Just has to retire. RG Knee, Kaepernick, Wilson and Luck will all be top 10. Watch and see. It could happen, but I doubt it. Mathematically though, at least one of them will be. I'm guessing it'll be more than that too, but I can't see him putting all four of them over the guys that are left.
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted July 10, 2013 RGIII being the lowest of the rookie QBs? Nope. This list sucks.
housemd 338 Posted July 11, 2013 RGIII being the lowest of the rookie QBs? Nope. This list sucks. This may be the start of another RG3 vs other rookie QB's,but I agree with you, he shouldn't be the lowest ranked rookie QB.
KempBolt 498 Posted July 11, 2013 He wasn't ranked last though. He's ranked ahead of Weeden and Tannehill, but behind Luck and Wilson. Given that he has the most uncertainty coming off any injury, and those two ahead of him had superb seasons themselves, I'd say that's fair.
