I think this is an important thing to address because people think their team is somewhere near the level of the Steelers' greatness. This is far from true. Let yourself explain... How many rings does your team have? How big is your fan base? How crummy is your city? How many HOFers and DPOYs are on your team? Did I mention 6 rings? :grinno: Why does your team try to emulate the Steelers? :cheesehead: Why do you wish you were a Steelers fan? I could go on and on but fact is the Steelers are the most decorated franchise in NFL history. We are the standard and everyone else has to live in our shadow. Get used to it. All we do is win. We win when we want and lose to keep the media from getting suspicious. Your team will never reach this level of consistent success. Get over it. Only because my Steelers were shit until the 1970's. Seriously, I don't care. I've always accepted the fact that the Bears (as well as the Packers) have had more success than Pittsburgh. The Bears were founded FOURTEEN years before the Steelers. I'd hope they had a better history.. and that's even debatable. All but one of their championships were pre-merger.. which occurred FOURTY-ONE years ago. I suppose the better comparison is Championships/Years in League... Chicago: 1 championship for every 10 years Pittsburgh: 1 championship for every 7 years And some just for fun.. Green Bay: 1 every 7 Detroit: 1 every 20 Dallas: 1 every 10 San Fran: 1 every 13 NY Giants: 1 every 12 The majority of the other reasons stated of how Chicago is better are opinionated. Ben, it is interesting that you say that you have accepted that the Bears history is better than the Steelers. I actually think that is highly debateable, ESPECIALLY in recent times.
