SteVo+ 3,702 Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) Random but significant: Over the last eight seasons, 59% of teams with the first-round bye advanced to the conference championship. Only twice in that eight-year span has a #1 or #2 seed won the Super Bowl ('08 Steelers, '09 Saints). Having said that, here's how it's going down: Wild Card Round > > > > Divisional Round > :Patriots: > > > Conference Championship :Patriots: > > Super Bowl XLVIII :patriots: > Edited January 1, 2014 by SteVo

Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted December 30, 2013 First off, I think that we as NFL fans are in for one hell of a playoff series. The match-ups for the wild card weekend alone all look spectacular and should play out as such.I feel pretty strongly that we will see a Patriots/Panthers SuperBowl. Perhaps I'm being optimistic for the Panthers because they are in the same division as the Falcons, but that is a great football team right now (it goes without mentioning that they haven't had Steve Smith or Jonathan Stewart at 100% this season)I think New England will make it to Denver, no matter who they face out of the AFC at this point. If that happens I think Denver will put up a fight, but we will see Brady and the Patriots pull one out again to lead them to a Superbowl. Despite Manning showing he can perform in cold weather a few weeks ago, lets not write it up as some amazing feat as it was the Titans (No offense Titans fans!) Denver looks like the most complete team, but New England simply wins every coaching match-up they seem to come across and Tom Brady in the cold is as good as 20/20 vision anymore. The Panthers will have a tougher time getting to the Superbowl because they'll end up facing either the Saints (although the Panthers have already beat them) or the Packers. Despite the Packers record, I think with Rodgers back behind center and Randall Cobb back in the lineup, that's going to be one hell of a football team to try and take down. The Panthers have their defense hitting on all cylinders though, so if any team is going to take down those two offensive power houses, it will be Carolina. Then they have to go INTO Seattle, we already know the hostile environment there. The Panthers know how to defeat the Seahawks though and again, they have the defense to do it. I just have a feeling we're going to see Cam Newton elevate his game big time when the post season starts. They've got all the makings of a Superbowl team, more so than even the Seahawks at this point.
Thanatos 2,847 Posted December 30, 2013 Rain Man, bro, there is no way in hell the Saints are going into Philly in subzero temperatures and taking out the Eagles. Carolina will be playing Philly in round 2.

badgers 380 Posted December 31, 2013 We're gonna get revenge on the 49ers for last year (both games) and earlier this season. 3 games of embarrassment all piled into one sweet revenge pie game. Then we'll take the fight to Seattle and avenge our Fail Mary loss in stunning fashion. After that I don't care what happens we shouldn't be in the playoffs, lol Detroit and Chicago. All you fuckers had to do was win one game. Realistically though we'll probably lose. Kinda late though I don't want to get a full predictions out yet. Will possibly edit later, if I remember to.
