Former NFL safety Darren Sharper has been charged with two counts of rape by use of drugs, according to multiple reports.

According to NOLA.com, two women were drugged in October, and another two in January. One woman in each incident was allegedly sexually assaulted.

In the October 30, 2013 incident, Sharper invited two women to a party after meeting at a West Hollywood nightclub. The two women were given a shot and passed out. One of the women woke up to Sharper allegedly assaulting her while the second woke up and "interrupted his actions."

On January 14, 2014, Sharper allegedly invited two women to his hotel room after meeting at the same nightclub. After stopping at Sharper's hotel room, the two women were given a shot. Each of them passed out and woke up the next day and one of the women believed she was sexually assaulted.

In addition to two counts of rape by use of drugs, he was also charged with four counts of furnishing a controlled substance and one count of posession of a controlled substance, all of which are felonies according to NOLA.com.

The drugs Sharper possessed were morphine and zolpidem (Ambien). He was arrested on Jan. 17, but free on $200,000 bond. According to NOLA.com, prosecutors are seeking a $10 million bond as Sharper has pending rape investigations in three states.

Former NFL star Darren Sharper has once again been arrested on charges of rape.

According to NBC News, Sharper surrendered to police in Los Angeles late Thursday night after a warrant was issued for his arrest in New Orleans earlier in the day. Sharper, already out on bail after being arrested in connection to a pair of rapes in Los Angeles in January, is facing two more charges of aggravated rape in New Orleans.

He is also still under investigation on allegations of rape in Las Vegas, Miami and Tempe, Ariz.

Per the report, a conviction on an aggravated rape charge in Louisiana carries a sentence of life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.

Erik Nunez, an acquaintance of Sharper, has also been charged for the crimes in Louisiana. The women involved in the case allege that Sharper and Nunez raped both of them in an apartment last September.

Not the sharpest tool in the shed.

People still get sentenced to hard labor? What?

Wow. I really like Louisana's aggravated rape law. Automatic life sentence with hard labor? Nice. Can we have that for all states?

Also Darren Sharper is really really really dumb. He's an NFL player, you don't need to rape anyone. Plenty of women would line up to sleep with an NFL player, I mean the guy won a Super Bowl. Jeez.

Rapists say rape is more about power than sex. The appeal is exerting power over someone, not the sex part.

On Friday, former NFL safety Darren Sharper was indicted not only in Louisiana state court but also in Louisiana federal court. Via Fletcher Mackel of WDSU-TV, Sharper and co-defendant Brandon Licciardi have been indicted on federal drug charges relating to the allegations of date rape.

Also, Licciardi (a local sheriff’s deputy at the time of the alleged offenses) faces charges of giving false information to authorities and of attempting to persuade a witness to not provide information to a grand jury.

The rape charges come from the federal regulation of three substances Sharper and Licciardi are accused of using on their alleged victims: Alprazolam, Diazepam, and Zolpidem.

If convicted, Sharper and Licciardi face life in prison.

It’s yet another serious legal problem for Sharper, who based on the allegations pending in various states was a serial rapist who drugged his victims. And the case shows precisely what could have happened to Bill Cosby if his alleged victims had come forward years ago, and if their allegations had resulted in indictments.

Sex offenders should be tried for death sentence, especially the ones involving young children. Its been proven over and over you can't rehabilitate a sexual predator.

Castration, I'd say, not death. Except for young children, in which case, yes. Kill the fuckers.

In December, Darren Sharper’s codefendant suggested that he witnessed other players spiking drinks at a Las Vegas convention. At the time, Brandon Licciardi didn’t name names.

Now, John Simerman and Ramon Antonio Vargas of the Baton Rouge Advocate report that Licciardi identified former Saints (and current Lions) running back Reggie Bush as a player Licciardi saw spiking drinks.

Specifically, Simerman and Vargas report that Licciardi said he saw Bush “drop ecstasy into Champagne glasses and hand out the illicit party drug to women on a nearby dance floor at a Las Vegas club.”

Licciardi later retreated on the claim that he saw Bush spiking drinks.

“No, I didn’t see him put it in the drink,” Licciardi told investigators regarding Bush. “He told me. And he said he was handing it to people, in Vegas. He asked me if I wanted some. And I was like, I don’t do that stuff.”

Bush has been charged with no wrongdoing in any jurisdiction. However, the contentions from Licciardi may cause some discomfort in Detroit — and at 345 Park Avenue in Manhattan.

Apparently Bush may sue a Louisiana news outlet for saying that there was someone testifying that he(Bush) had spiked drinks. Can't sue a news outlet for reporting the statements of others, dipshit. :smug:
