The Philadelphia Eagles select OLB Lavonte David.

Don't let his size turn you off. He's a great tackler with excellent instincts who has the production to back up this selection. A lot of people are saying he's the best coverage LB in the draft and he seems to be there to make the big plays when his team needs it. For those of you who say that undersized LB's can't play with the wide 9. Look no further than Stephen Tulloch.

With the 54th pick in the NFL draft the Baltimore Ravens select:

Mychal Kendricks, ILB, Cal

He is the Pac 12 defensive player of the year. He is a little small for the position but has good instincts and has great sideline to sideline speed. I think with a full off season under his belt he will challenge Jameel McClain for the starting role next to Ray Lewis. One or two years to learn all he can from a legend of the game at that position. He excels in all aspects of his position but but block shedding which is about average at the moment. He is great in coverage and can rush the passer from his position. He ran the fastest 40 of all LB's at the combine and his tape backs up the speed, and he is also as strong as any LB in the Draft. Had he played for a school like Bama he would have been a first round prospect IMO. The Ravens get a good get here.

With the 55th pick of the draft....and their first pick of the draft, the Atlanta Falcons select:

Potter.jpg

Left Tackle, Nate Potter Boise State University

After a horrible season at the Left Tackle Position between Sam Baker and Will Svitek, it's time for the Falcons to take a solid candidate for a starter to protect Matt Ryan's blindside. Potter is a fundamentally sound Tackle with solid lower body strength and good footwork. He has room to grow as far as upper body strength, but he can definitely take over the starting job at LT for the Falcons day 1 and get better with each day/game.

With the 57th overall pick, the Denver Broncos select

Jayron Hosley, CB, Virginia Tech

Kind of just hoping I get another sick Va Tech cornerback. His skill set is a bit different from Flowers, he's a bit more fluid, and more of a finesse sort of corner, but he's got a great skillset and should make the removal of Andre Goodman an inevitability.

With the 58th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select...

Coby Fleener: TE, Stanford

Not necessarily a position of need, but this is certainly a BPA pick. This pick also allows Joel Dreessen to walk in free agency. I'm giving Schaub plenty of weapons, so there's no excuses.

Arian Foster, Andre Johnson, Owen Daniels, and I've drafted Stephen Hill along with Coby Fleener to make this offense top notch.

With the 91st Selection in the 2012 NFL Draft...

the Green Bay Packers Select....

Chase Minnifield, CB, Virginia

Chase-Minnifield1.jpg

Minnifield is falling down draft boards because of a lackluster performance at the combine because he hasn't fully recovered from knee surgery which means that he is a prime target as a steal come draft day.

Minnifield has a great skill set for a corner, excelling in both man and zone. Gets out of his breaks quickly and fluidly.

He might need to put on a few pounds, but he is the type of corner that teams throw away from.

With the 93rd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Entry Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select:

Brandon Brooks, G/T, Miami (Ohio)

brandon-brooks.jpg

A physical freak at 6'5", 346lbs, Brooks possesses incredible quickness and agility for his size. Combine that with his power at the point of contact, Brandon makes for a ideal candidate to compete for a spot at RG or RT on the 49ers physical o-line. Has a very high ceiling in terms of potential and would do very well in the 9ers offensive scheme.
