BLUE 1,026 Posted October 20, 2011 In the upcoming draft, what do you do???? Do you draft Luck as your franchise QB of the future and try to move Bradford, or do you try to land a king's ransom for the right to draft Luck????
badgers 380 Posted October 20, 2011 Bradford has the capabilities to be a great QB. You give up that #1 pick for a bunch of others. Stock that offense with weapons and protection and I guarantee the Rams will instantly be in competition for the NFC West title.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted October 20, 2011 King's ransom. Bradford has already proven to be a very good quarterback in St. Louis. No matter what Luck's potential, he's not worth trading a QB who has already panned out.
KiLaSix9+ 398 Posted October 20, 2011 Yeah I'm with the first two. Stick with Bradford, trade down and have yourself one hell of a draft class.
Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted October 20, 2011 There's no question about it; force someone to give you their draft for Luck.
Shotgun 442 Posted October 20, 2011 Why get rid of a QB that's already shown he can be a great player for a guy fresh out of college? Hype does not always translate into success in the NFL. The Rams drafting back to back QB's would be pretty dumb, and they most likely wouldn't get the compensation from trading Bradford they would with the #1 pick especially considering Bradford's contract. I'd most definitely trade that #1 pick for a kings ransom. With the rookie cap in place teams will be much more likely to trade a lot for the top player in the draft and the Rams need all the picks they can get to improve their offensive weapons, and they still need to improve their defensive secondary. BucD+ 648 Posted October 20, 2011 Stick with Bradford who has shown he can be a good QB in the NFL. He's just going through a sophomore slump and doesn't have much of a supporting cast. Hold that #1 pick hostage for the opportunity of taking Luck and use that king's ransom wisely!
Phins4life 271 Posted October 20, 2011 Trade the pick away. Bradford has the skills and the developing weapons to have a bright future. Use the extra picks to build a more efficient O-line, maybe another solid receiver, and then start stacking the D for the future.
oochymp 2,393 Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) no way in hell you can trade Bradford at this point, Luck may have slightly more potential, but Bradford has shown he's more than capable and already knows the system, although does this remind anyone else of the Chargers before the 04 draft? Granted, Bradford has a better reputation than Brees did at that point. Edited October 21, 2011 by oochymp

Curious, though....has Luck actually said anything about this, or is it all being schemed by Oliver?
Thanatos 2,847 Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) It has a bit of the same stench. Curious, though....has Luck actually said anything about this, or is it all being schemed by Oliver? It's hype. Luck has not said anything like this, and doesn't like the idea of a team sucking just to get him anyway. Or at least he said as much. OT: You trade it away for as many draft picks as you can get and pick up a bunch of weapons for Bradford, and some help wherever else the Rams need it, (not really sure where exactly, I'd say O-line off the top of my head). RANGA+ 1,210 Posted October 21, 2011 King's ransom. Bradford has already proven to be a very good quarterback in St. Louis. No matter what Luck's potential, he's not worth trading a QB who has already panned out. There's no question about it; force someone to give you their draft for Luck. These. Bradford is the real deal. And no doubt some team will desperately want Luck (assuming nothing majorly bad happens to him this season). At the end of the day, it will just be a matter of price. RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 21, 2011 Trade Bradford for a king's ransom, and trade down from the first overall slot (even more ransom) to draft Matt Barkley instead. So instead of having Bradford or Luck, you should have something like 3 extra first rounders over the next two years, a QB who'll actually do damage in the league, and multiple later round picks to help bolster the franchise.

.AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted October 21, 2011 What's with all this "Bradford has proven he can be good/great?" All Bradford has proven is he's an average to below average QB. Obviously too early to judge him as a whole, but Bradford hasn't done a damn thing since the 2nd half of last year. Take the kings ransom here regardless, because Luck isn't worth what a team is going to trade for him, however, the Rams may wind up having to draft another "franchise QB" in 2 or so years.
Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted October 21, 2011 There's no question about it; force someone to give you their draft for Luck. This right here. But if no one gives you the picks you want, then you TAKE LUCK, and stock him away. MUAHAHAHAHA
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) It the Rams get the 1st overall pick, they'll ship it to the Browns so they can get Luck. Edited October 24, 2011 by DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F
ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted October 24, 2011 It the Rams get the 1st overall pick, they'll ship it to the Browns so they can get Luck. And that's when the Browns will waste all their picks we gave them for Julio...
