vikesfan1 11 Posted April 24, 2012 Bought tickets to go to "Vikings Draft Party" in the metrodome. Got the sober cab all lined up. The tickets I got include meet and great with some alumni and recent players. Should be a good time, if only we could get this "looming" stadium issue resolved. So I'm probably going to order some wings and watch it with her Thursday, and then watch day two with the original Plan A. Probably join the shout box party with you guys, as lame as that sounds. If the game isn't called I'll go over to his house and he'll record it. That way I can fast forward through the commercials and the retarded Keyshawn Johnson comments. Actually, does anyone know who will be commentating it? Omerta+ 1,206 Posted April 25, 2012 Ha funny story. 3 years ago my girlfriend at the time (now my fiance) was ok with me watching the draft. However she did not realize how long this was going to take. I may have mislead her just a bit by saying it wont take that long. Well that year she had everything set up and had made some home made lasagna and pizza, brougth me beers you know about the perfect draft day scenario. About 25 picks in on the first day and late third she was getting irritated and could not understand my excitement. This was the beginning of a tradition. Every year I get to watch the first round the next day I try but she tries to distract me in a most agreeable way. I usually fall for it and have to come down and rewind the DVR after I turn my cell phone off. SAme with day two. All in all this very well could be my favorite time of year.
